Its recipe for success is in producing a range of cakes, biscuits and chocolate-coated fruits using quality, mostly natural ingredients and traditional recipes. "We use butter instead of margarine, eggs instead of egg powder, and real bananas and carrots in our banana and carrot cakes," says Andrew Horwood, Director of MacBryde Horwood Agencies. The formula appears to be working. The 10 year old business employs between 25 to 40 employees and turns out a range of 20 cakes, eight biscuits and six chocolate fruits available in IGA supermarkets and gourmet stores across South Australia,Victoria and New South Wales.
