Sunsalt
SunSalt is a business that commenced operating in 1982 known then as Hattah Salt. The business originally began producing salt from the unlimited supply of underground saline water (twice as salty as seawater) at Spectacle Salt Lake - Hattah, Victoria, Australia. In 1986 the company installed a refinery for drying, processing and packaging of salt products. As a result of the expansion SunSalt found itself with insufficient salt resources. To enable the business to grow successfully, further salt producing sites needed to be obtained. Following considerable research SunSalt have undertaken to carry out extensive development at both the Mourquong basin and Wakool Mitigation Site 2.
