Foodies have been successfully distributing gourmet food items throughout NSW since 1992. The business was established by Ruth Nicholas and has been particularly active in introducing small to medium size producers and manufacturers to the market. Typically, our suppliers have a similar philosophy to the production and distribution of food to ours. That is, one of quality, consistency and individuality such that the resultant product stands out as something special and unique in the market place.
We like to work closely with our suppliers so as to ensure maximum market penetration. We see our role as being the link between the consumer and the producer and if communication channels are not wide open the potential exists for the supply and demand chain to not be in harmony which results in poor sales and possibly irreparable damage to a supplier’s brand.
Foodies are a market leader in the marketing and distribution to the gourmet retail market in NSW. We focus heavily on those outlets which can recognise and value quality when they see it. Currently we speak to and deliver to almost 2000 of these outlets around Sydney & Canberra every week. We deliver in the Sydney Metropolitan area and operate via a network of partner distributors in country NSW.
Foodies only value is its good will, and without this we could not operate. This good will only comes as a result of continuous and consistent reliability in terms of doing things right. We know that if Foodies says it will happen, it must happen! This philosophy encompasses prompt payment of invoices, collection of accounts receivable, inventory management, warehouse management, delivery management and staff training.
